Design And Implementation Wireless Sensor Network Gateway Based On ZigBee And GPRS

In recent years, wireless sensor networks and embedded technology has been rapid development. Wireless senor network technology and embedded technology in wireless remote monitoring is an important mean to timely get the information of the monitoring scene. A great many different data types of sensor nodes are placed to monitoring site, to achieve the purpose of the wireless remote monitoring through the WSN and wireless communication.In this dissertation, a design scheme of based on ZigBee and GPRS wireless sensor network gateway system which is applied to wireless remote monitoring is proposed. The scheme features a dual-radio technique, in which ZigBee technology is taken advantage of for low distance communication and GPRS for long distance communication. It adopts ZigBee+GPRS+Android system. Based on the scheme design concepts this dissertation analyzes the system functional requirements and performance requirements, LM2455-EM is used as ZigBee module, TR800as GRRS module, OMAP4430PandaBoard as primary controller. Hardware platform is then set up as schematic layout and PCB are further designed according to the specification of each selected chip. This hardware platform has the advantages of low-power, high-performance and scalable. Android system transplanting and hardware device drivers are designed and realized on the hardware platform to build the system software platform. Application is designed and implemented based on the system hardware and software platform. Then the application and system hardware and software platform are tested and analyzed. The test results show that the system is stable and good performance.
