The unprecedented opportunity is seen in the mobile phone online games with therapid development of3G networks and growing popularity of smartphones featured withbig screens. The competition between game companies has become more intense with thegrowing number of online games created on the platform of mobile phones. Most ofcompanies are developing many mobile phone games simultaneously to improve theircompetiveness. Therefore, problems arising from the simultaneous game operation start tobother game operators and decision makers as a lot of information are generated fromgames operation together with the difference in formats and contents of recording gameinformation. Hence, it is necessary to introduce date warehouse (DW) to resolve thoseproblems which may steadily and efficiently extract the useful operating information fromvast operating data.The article firstly states some theoretically knowledge about the Data Warehouse andothers related to it. It also, on the basis of that, deeply introduces OLAP online analyticalprocessing technology and Mondrain OLAP, which is a widely used service engine.Second, some subjects are defined by combining project background in game analysissystem with some business demands for presenting some examples. In the light of suchsubjects, the article describes star architecture design and ETL design (data extractiontransform and load) of the data warehouse. At last, a multi-dimensional data model iscreated based on a game operating data warehouse and by using Pentabho businesssoftware. The OLAP and traditional statement business are accomplished in the businessanalysis by using this model.
