Apply this data warehouse technology, the statistical division has established Tertiary Industry economic data warehouse, which can reflect the basic operational situation of this industry. This economic data warehouse includes four subject-oriented data warehouses: the basic situation of enterprises, the financial situation, the energy consumption situation and sale situation of commodity. Through applying the Analysis Services Tools of SQL Server 2005, profession statisticians can establish multi-dimension data set, carry on multi-dimensional analysis. Moreover, they can apply Reporting Services Tools of SQL Server 2005 to generate multi-dimensional report table, display the analysis result by graph, and provide quantitative basis for government departments' statistical analysis. According to this technology, it does not need for users to connect to the database manually to analyze data, on the contrary, it is easy to query and analyze public data. At the same time, profession statisticians can query the relations among data, summarize the regular results, and analyze the situation of multi-angle economic operation according to variety of statistical graphs. Furthermore, they can provide statistical analysis reports as assistant functions to help leaders make decision.
