In recent years, reality show as a new program form becomes more and more prevalent in China.Program formats of domestic reality shows are mainly from imitation and purchase of similar westernprograms, so non-acclimatization which the difference between Chinese and Western context bringscause that Chinese reality show is in three kind of plights which include poor innovative power, the lackof social responsibility, the weakening of cultural function. However, South Korea that is in the samecultural circle with China has owned a very large audience in China by virtue of its many reality shows.South Korean reality show not only spread happiness, but also reflect its cultural connotation. Thisproduction method and idea is worthy of Chinese television industry to learn from.In nowadays The tendency to dramatization in TV programs is more and more obvious, Differencesin narrative style and content will bring different social effects which can directly affect the beliefs andvalues of audience groups. The success of Korean reality show naturally can not be separated from itssuccessful narrative mode as well. Therefore I hope to analysize Korean reality show in the view ofNarratology. From learnning its experience I can provide suggestions for improving the quality ofChinese reality showThis article selects Korean reality show2days and1night which have high ratings as the studyobject. This study used quantitative and qualitative research techniques to analysize100epsides ofsample programs based on classical narratology. This study is divided in two parts: one is storyincluding narrative structure, characters, action. the other one is narrative discourse including thenarrator, time, perspective, narrative symbols.Finally I put forward four suggestions from2days and1night’s narrative experiences for Chinesereality show. First,we should enhance sense of reality for improving the credibility of programs.Second, to weaken competition’s brutality and publicize mainstream value. Third, there are varioustypes of common people who join in realtiy show, they participate in constructing story by interactionwith celebrities. Fourth, to integrate traditional culture into the story construction, and displaytraditional culture by narrative symbols in all aspects.
