Every year colleges and universities, scientific research institutions will producemany digital research results. However, due to various factors, these figures can not beused by other scientific researchers to share; its value can not be fully utilized resultingin a waste of resources, which extremely unfavorable for the development of scientificresearch. The late1970s, academia, the publishing industry and the scientificcommunity of Western Europe and North America to promote further use of scientificresearch, public awareness of scientific research to facilitate retrieval and access, andlaunched an "open access" movement, hope to promote scientific research into publicuse fruit, promoting academic exchanges and the dissemination of scientificinformation. For those prepared to implement open access mechanism is urgent need softwarestorage, management, retrieval, download digital information, warehouse managementsystem will emerge as the times require. In2002, several famous universities CornellUniversity, University of Cambridge and the establishment of the joint mechanisminvolved in warehousing and put a lot of academic research results open sharing usingDspace system, picked up a prelude to the construction of open storage in the wholeworld. This design and implementation of storage systems based on DSpace literature ispresented in this context, the system prototype system based on DSpace secondarydevelopment. First, based on individual research workers can not share, needs analysis, and definitions are stored in the data warehouse system in the literature metadataformat. Then download the DSpace system source code, build DSpace developmentenvironment for finished processing on DSpace, DSpace prototype system for somefunctions such issues are not suitable for DSpace prototype system has been improvedto make it more easy to use.
