With the development of space technology, the existing avionics communication network system has been unable to meet the development needs. ARINC664specification is a new kind of ADN standard adopted by AEEC, And the specification part7defined a full duplex switched Ethernet (AFDX:Avionics Full Duplex switched Ethernet). This Ethernet rooted from the commercial Ethernet network technology, network real-time, certainty and reliability is enhanced by modificating IEEE802.3Ethernet protocol.The Switch is at the heart of any aircraft data network which is constituted by AFDX End System and AFDX switch. The AFDX network’s core is a high-performance switch which provides safety and reliable data exchange interface for the connection between the avionics sub-systems and the AFDX networks. Combing with the in-research project, this paper focuses on the design and verification of AFDX switch routing-policing module. It introduces the development history of the avionic bus, analyses the features and prospects of AFDX. It also describes the construction of switch and the importance of routing-policing module. After that, it discusses serval implement methods of routing function in details, and the "CAM" is the final method. Policing algorithm is also be analysed to find a simple way to implement by hardware. Finally, a verification platform based on VMM is built for routing-policing module to make the whole module is reliable in the chip system.
