Image is one of the principal ways of obtaining external information.As theheadmost part of image analysis process, the performance of image acquisition systemdecides the precision and difficulty of the subsequent design. With the improvement ofthe image senser’s resolution and frame frequency, the speed of image acquisitionsystem is getting faster and faster. Nowadays, it is widely used in many areas, such asindustrial control, traffic monitoring, military application, medicine, aerospace and soon. So it is very significative for the research on high-speed image acquisition system.First, the thesis introduces some high speed interfaces included Camera Link,DVI and USB3.0, and then memory technical standard about DDR2SDRAM andNAND Flash is presented. On this basis, a design proposal about high speed imageacquisition system based on FPGA is presented. This system acquires images viaCamera Link interface, buffers data by DDR2SDRAM, and then stores these imagesin NAND Flash. Finally, the acquired image data can be uploaded to computers viaUSB3.0. Camera Link of this system works in Base Configuration, but higher speed ofimage acquisition can be achieved by extending system scale in the future.
