A Novel Technology For The Management Of Of Containers In Logistics Center

The acceleration of world economic integration is promoting thedevelopment of social and economic. In that case； the logistics industry whichmostly depends on the container as the carrier is rapidly developing as theimportant hub of modern trades. Since the nineties in the twentieth century；China’s logistics industry has developed rapidly and the national containershandling capacity has been increasing year by year. However； the old methodsof container management have caused many issues in the logistics center such asport and railway. So； choosing more advanced and scientific managementmethods and designing a new container management system for the logisticscenter has been an important issue for logistics companys and the logisticsindustry.Based on the research about status of the container management and thecontainer management system；the article analyzed the main issues of containermanagement and finded that the RFID technology should be the best choose forimproving the container management. the article choosed logistics center whichrelys on the port as the the center of the paper； As logistics center is a broadconcept. The article analyzed the demand of the logistics center and in the base；it designed the container management system for the logistics center. Itdetermined the order management；gate management；field area management；container management； system setup and basic maintenance informationmanagement and query management as the functional requirements； andcombed the container management business processes； on this basis；designedthe container management system. The system applied C/A/Sstructur； choosedVB6.0as the front-end development tools； and applied SQL2005database.In order to improve the efficiency of container management； it introduced RFID technology to the system and given the applications to ensure that thesystem is convenient and operational.The RFID technology-based logistics management system for the port’slogistics center will improve container handling capacity and yard storagecapacity； thus improve the overall level of container management and providereference for changing the backwardness of thinking of the containermanagement.
