Annular heating furnace is an important instrument in the production of seamlesssteel tubes, the heat directly affects the quality of the steel, and its energy consumptionand oxidation of sintered direct impact on steel costs. Therefore, to ensure optimumproduction conditions of the annular furnace and the temperature automatic control arethe keys. To improve the quality of the product ring furnace, this paper mainly fromthe perspective of industrial controls, heating the ring furnace temperature controlsystem were studied and discussed.By understanding the annular furnace production process and influencing factors,the first, based on the requirements of introduction the heating process and control offurnace automatic control system, focusing on the practical application of the ringfurnace temperature control and combustion control design and then, The controlsystem used in the hardware and programming software functions and featuresdescribed in detail, as well as in the control system by hardware and software platformsimulation and programming of the specific design work. Next-bit machine uses thesoftware of Siemens S7-400PLC to program the software;the host computer uses thesoftware of WinCC to monitor and display screen, which realizes the automaticcontrol function of the temperature and flow of the furnace. Finally it achieves theheating furnace operating safely, economically, and highly effective.The furnace-temperature of heating-furnace is a large inertia system so generallyusing PID adjusting to control. With the expanding of PLC function, the controlfunction in many PLC controllers has been expanded. Therefore it is more reasonableto apply PLC controlling in the applicable fields where logical control and PID controlblend together. The design has utilized the control system with which Siemens S7-400PLC control the temperature heating-furnace. In the first place this paper presents theworking principles of the temperature control system and the elements of this system.Then it introduces Siemens S7-400PLC and the specific design procedures of thehardware and the software. At the end of this article, I make a conclusion: comparedmature PID control theories combine advanced PLC software and hardware,it canwell complete the mission that control temperature inside the heating furnace.
