Sintering is a key step in the production of electronic components, The quality of electronic components is closely linked with the temperature control precision of the sintering furnace. In the field of production of electronic components, because of the technology characteristics, the sintering furnace temperature control conditions are complex, inertia, time-varying and the hysteresis is serious. The precise mathematical model is difficult to establish, the traditional PID control method can not meet the demand of the system. In order to solve this problem, we design a kind of fuzzy PID temperature control system for sintering furnace.Frist, we analysed the sintering furnace process in EPCOS electronic components factory. According to the production requirements, we summed up the sintering furnace temperature control target, and analysed the sintering furnace temperature mathematical model. Combined with the feasibility of implementation of the system, efficiency and cost of the project, design a sintering furnace control system. The system uses the PLC control method, and adopts Siemens S7-300as the controller, through the silicon controlled rectifier to control the sintering furnace heating body, and then control the sintering furnace temperature.Then, According to the characteristics of EPCOS sintering furnace, a sintering furnace temperature fuzzy PID control system is designed. The key of designing Fuzzy PID control system is the fuzzy PID controller. According to the controller’s input and output, choose the domain, to determine the membership function, formulated the rules of fuzzy PID control and finally get the fuzzy PID control tables of the fuzzy PID controller outputs. In the MATLAB simulation experiments, we compared the fuzzy PID controller and the normal PID controller, the experimental results showed that the fuzzy PID control is better than the traditional PID control on the control accuracy and does not overshoot.Finally, the design is used in actual production and we design the EPCOS electronic sintering furnace temperature control system. The hypogynous machine is Siemens S7-300and the WINCC as PC. The system through the PROFBUS to realize data exchange between them. The fuzzy PID controller is used to control the sintering furnace temperature in the PLC program. Through the history curve and the historical data, we find that the system has a high precision of temperature control and the error mostly at1degrees C range. The system meets the requirement of production process.
