Purple tungsten is optimum to obtain WC powder with high quality which is the base of the ultr-fine cemente carbide. The purple tungsten oxide furnace is of some features such as long time lag, nonlinearity and difficulties of process modeling. It's difficult to control by traditional algorithm.In the process, the setting value of the purple tungsten furnace can be properly regulated according to the expert experience and the mechanism parameters. This method can solve the problem of uncertain parameters effectively. To the temperature control, fuzzy control method is an idea stragedy because of the complex properties and difficulties in modeling.This paper makes a research and design on fuzzy expert control system of the purple tungsten oxide furnace with the background of Zhu Zhou Cemented Carbide Group Co.LTD. Through summarizing the expert experience, an expert knowledge base is build to get proper setting temperature. A set of two dimension fuzzy controller by which the temperature control of the purple tungsten oxide furnace is achieved is studied and designed. Based on WinCC and SIEMENS SIMATICS7-300 PLC, the fuzzy exper control system of the purple tungsten oxide furnace is build.The fuzzy expert control system of the purple tungsten oxide furnace has been put into use. The running result shows that this systerm solves the temperature control problem well in the purple tungsten oxide furnace and brings much economic benefits for the factory.
