Heating furnace the main energy consumption equipment in modern rolling mill,and also an important part to the quality of product. How to improve the combustionefficiency, raise the control rate and controlling precision of heating furnace are keyproblems in reducing consumption and improving the quality of products.Seamless pipe plant always use rotary hearth furnace as the heating equipment, thetutbe blank is heated and used for steel pipe rolling taking. The equipment use naturalgas or the mixed gases of blast furnace and cookery as the fuel. The temperature controlof rotary heart furnace is a complicated thermal processing procedure, which ischaracterized by mutual effect of multi variables, parameters time-variance, also largeinertia delay link and non-linear of detecting signals. Routine PID temperature controlhas big fluctuation and low respond. Besides, the furnace condition is directly affectedby the loading and unloading operations. It is difficult to stabilize the furnace pressure,establish mathematics model and achieve effective control.The background of this paper is the rotary heart furnace in Baotou Iron&SteelSeamless Mill, and the “series double-crossing combustion control” is the base of fuzzycontrol. According to temperature change in different sections of the furnace and theactual figure of the furnace temperature, thus can achieve faster and shorter ascendingand descending of temperature control. And also transition period will be shorter,inching adjustment volume will be smaller, then the surge times are fewer. Ensure thatthe dynamic adjustment performance of heating furnace during the change of thermalload, which fits the requirement of thermal load change of the heating furnace. It willnot result in incomplete combustion or result from insufficient air supply or excess-oxygen combustion. Combustion loss and consumption are reduced, thus, can reduceconsumption and improve the quality of products.
