Hospital follow-up work is an indispensable part of daily work in hospital. InChina, phone calls and SMS(Short Messaging Service) are the two mainstream waysof follow-up. In the early1990’s, with the development of medical industryinformatization, by using traditional follow-up card to record patient information fromadmission to discharge, more and more shortcomings are exposed. In order toimprove the probability of referral of patients and establish a better image ofthemselves, hospitals are relying on existing patient information, cooperating withtechnology companies to build their own hospital-specific follow-up platform.The practice of this paper is based on Medical Follow-up Platform Project ofGuangzhou Tianpeng Computer Science and Technology Company. Project seeks tobuild a hospital follow-up service platform and sets up the bridge of communicationbetween the hospitals and patients. Through the requirements analysis and combinedwith research analysis on medical follow-up informationization development situationat home and abroad, we establish a B/S structure of Java EE hospital follow-upmanagement platform with SSH(Struts+Spring+Hibernate) structure as developmentframework.In the phase of architecture design, I am responsible for designing anddeveloping SMS platform, disease knowledge base, drug knowledge base andtemplate management. By using open source frameworks Quartz and combining withopen source project SMSLib as SMS platform background scheduling, we’ve realizedclassification of SMS sent. By using template management and combining with SMSfollow-up, we’ve realized SMS follow-up.
