Development And Application Of Laryngeal Carcinoma Follow-Up System

Objective As low follow-up rate, simple means and poor quality exist in the whole follow-up work, together with the lack of professionals and hardware devices, this thesis explains the development of follow-up system for patients with laryngeal cancer in terms of clinical medicine and scientific research.Method The follow-up system is based on operation platform of Microsoft WINNT 4.0 Server, developed by means of SQL Server database, VB.NET and ASP.NET and operated on local area network and public server. With the help of database and web server, this system could manage modem linked with terminal, GSM/GPRS/CDMA dual-frequency communication chip, double communication SMS modem for EGSM900/1800Mhz, headset telephone, printer and medical image scanner. Result The modernized follow-up system for larynx cancer patients is developed successively, the main program of which is install on the server, to set up active follow-up information webpages for patients by Internet, automatically send messages to due follow-up visitors, and arrange voice follow-up or print follow-up notice email, even schedule a reminder to them, in virtue of voice commination, SMS platform, and terminals like image scanner and printer. Therefore, the integrated management for the follow-up data will help to conduct the analysis of results. Conclusion This follow-up system is extension of the follow-up mode, original follow-up technology upgrade,and renovation of follow-up mechanism. It is beneficial for achievement of clinical treatment and scientific research in use of this system.
