Study On The Hui Nationality’s Living Style Of Liao Cheng City Shan Dong Province

The Hui people in Shandong have obvious differences from that of the Hui people in northwest region due to the factor of regions, the choice of means of livelihood and transformation process. The paper explores the unique wisdom of Hui people and analyses the process and influencing factors of cultural construction by researching the means of livelihood of a town at Liaocheng, Shandong. The paper chooses Nanjie village, Zhangqiu town, Yanggu county, Liaocheng city as a research place whose Hui people’s inhabitations are relatively concentrated, which is good for practicing research.Furthermore, it analyses the means of livelihood of the local Hui people with three steps:firstly, it looks back on the single means of livelihood before1990s to outstand the multiple and flexible types in the modern age, and analyses the factor of transformation; secondly, it describes the multiple means of livelihood in the modern age one by one to reflect how the local Hui people grasp the business opportunities in time, adjust the developing steps under the tide of modernization and create the multiple means of livelihood; finally, it evaluates the means of livelihood from the perspective of etic approach and the emic approach, and analyses the underlying causes in terms of their satisfactions to the profession they take up to find out whether the present means of livelihood will promote the future development of means of livelihood of the local Hui people.
