Research On Personality Characteristics, Social Support And Coping Styles Of Medical Staffs In Medical Organizations Of Shenqiu County

Objective To understand the condition of the personality, social support and coping style of medical staffs in county and discuss the relationships; and provide statistical data for improving the psychological health of physicians and relevant administrative departments.Methods A total Of390medical staffs in medical organization of Shenqiu county, were investigated with general information、Eysenck Personality Questionnaire(EPQ)、Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS) and Coping Style Questionnaire. SPSS17software is adopted to statistic data while descriptive analysis, T-test, variance analysis and corrclation analysis are used to analyze the research.Results(1) In male medical staff:there are significantly different in Lie(L) factor, appealing factor and rationalization factor between doctor group and nurse group; There are significantly different in Lie(L) factor, the availability of social support factor and retreat factor in different age groups; There is significantly different in subjective support factor in the children-differing groups.(2) In female medical staff:there are significantly different in subjective support factor, total support score factor, self-accusation factor, appealing factor, fancy factor and retreat factor between female doctor group and nurse group; there are significantly different in objective support factor, subjective support factor as well as total support score factor in different age groups and in different marital status groups; There is significantly different in retreat factor in the children-differing groups.(3)In male doctors:there is significantly different only in rationalization factor in different marital status groups; There is significantly different only in subjective support factor in the children-differing groups.(4) In female doctors:there is significantly different only in retreat factor in different marital status groups; There is significantly different only in retreat factor in the children-differing groups.(5)In female nurses:there are significantly different in objective support factor, subjective support factor as well as total support score factor in different marital status groups and the children-differing groups.(6)Psychoticism(P) factor and Neuroticism(N) factor of EPQ are negatively correlated with all dimension of social support. Extraversion-introversion(E) factor and Lie(L) factor are positively correlated with all dimension of social support.(7) Psychotic ism(P) fac tor is negatively correlated with mature coping factor and positively correlated with immature coping factor; Extraversion-introversion(E) factor is positively correlated with mature coping factor and negatively correlated with self-accusation factor; Neuroticism(N) factor is negatively correlated with problem-solving factor and positively correlated with immature coping factor; Lie(L) factor is negatively correlated with immature coping factor.Conclusion(1) Male nurse, male medicals staffs above30years or30years old have a higher tendency to lie.(2) With children, married medical staffs with better social support.(3) Male medical staffs above30years or30years old tend to choose "retreat" coping styles; male doctors choose "help","rationalization" coping styles; married male doctors prefer "rationalization" of coping styles; female nurses tend to choose "help","blame","retreat","fantasy" coping styles; married and have children female doctors tend to select "retreat" coping styles.(4) By improving the status of medical staffs social support in Shenqiu county, and encourage them to take active coping styles to improve theirs personality, and to promote their healthy overall development.
