Objective(1)To describe the social support,self-efficacy,coping style and disability acceptance of patients with stroke and limb dysfunction;(2)To investigate the effects of general sociodemographic statistics, social support, selfefficacy, and coping styles on disability acceptance in patients with stroke and limb dysfunction;(3)To clarify the correlation between social support,self-efficacy,coping style and disability acceptance in patients with stroke and limb dysfunction;(4)To explore the interrelationships and acting path of social support,self-efficacy,coping style and disability acceptance in patients with stroke and limb dysfunction.MethodBy convenient sampling method, inpatients with stroke and limb dysfunction in a grade III,class A Hospital of Tianjin were selected as the research object 511 stroke dysfunction patients who met the inclusion criteria were surveyed by questionnaires from June to December 2019.The survey tools include Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS),Stroke self-efficacy questionnaire(SSEQ),Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire(MCMQ),The Acceptance of Disability Scale(ADS).The mean, standard deviation, and the general data of comparing the research objects, social support,self-efficacy,coping style, and disability acceptance were used to describe. The demographic differences in the disability acceptance of the research objects were analyzed by t-test and one-way ANOVA of variance. The influencing factors of the disability acceptance of the study objects were analyzed by multivariate stepwise regression analysis. The correlation between the social support,self-efficacy,coping style and disability acceptance of the study objects were explored by Pearson analysis or Spearman analysis.A structural equation model is constructed to explore the impact of social support,self-efficacy,and coping styles of the patients on disability acceptance and to analyze the influence paths between variables.Results(1)The average score of social support for patients with stroke and limb dysfunction was(33.67±7.41),the average score of self-efficacy was(77.32±15.35),the yield dimension score was the highest in the coping style(2.62±0.90),the average score of disability acceptance was(79.68±16.17).(2)Multivariate linear stepwise regression results show that the patients' education level, per capita monthly household income, course of disease, severity of physical disabilities, social support,self-efficacy,three dimensions(face, avoid, and yield)of coping styles are all entered in the multiple linear regression equation model,44.8% of the variance can be explained jointly.(3)The relevant analysis results showed that social support,self-efficacy of the patients were positively correlated with the coping styles in face dimensions(P <0.01),and were negatively correlated with the avoidance and yielding dimensions of the coping styles(P <0.01),the social support and self-efficacy of the patients were all positively correlated with disability acceptance(P <0.01),the face dimensions of the coping styles of the patients was positively correlated with disability acceptance(P <0.01),and the avoidance and yielding dimensions were negatively correlated with disability acceptance(P <0.01).(4)The structural equation model shows that social support and self-efficacy coping styles of patients with stroke and limb dysfunction can not only directly affect disability acceptance, but social support and self-efficacy can also indirectly affect disability acceptance through coping styles.58.12% and 35.28% of the total effect.Conclusions(1)The level of social support for patients with stroke and limb dysfunction is not ideal, which indicates that the patient receives insufficient social support and cannot effectively use the support;the patient's self-efficacy is at a medium level, which indicates that the patient's confidence in fighting the disease is acceptable;the patients tend to adopt a yield coping style, which indicates that the patient's coping strategy for the disease is not active;the patient's disability acceptance is moderate, indicating that the patient has a certain ability to accept their disability, but is not optimistic.(2)The influencing factors of disability acceptance in patients with stroke and limb dysfunction include education level, per capita monthly household income, course of the disease, severity of physical disabilities, social support,self-efficacy,and coping styles.(3)There is a correlation between social support and self-efficacy in patients with stroke and limb dysfunction and their coping style and disability acceptance, and there is also a correlation between coping style and disability acceptance. That is,the higher the level of social support and self-efficacy,the easier it is for patients to take an active coping style, and the higher the acceptance of disability(4)Social support,self-efficacy,and coping styles of the patients with stroke and limb dysfunction can directly affect disability acceptance, and social support and self-efficacy can indirectly affect disability acceptance through coping styles. It shows that nurses must not only pay attention to the impact of social support and self-efficacy on disability acceptance, but also the mediating role of coping styles,so as to improve the disability acceptance of the patients.
