Objective:To study the immediately analgesic effect of wrist-ankle acupuncture to lumbar intervertebral disc herniation.Methods:64cases of lumbar intervertebral disc herniation patients were randomly divided into two groups following the principle of operation, evaluation and statistics. The treatment group were treated by wrist-ankle acupuncture, take the wrist-ankle acupuncture point of under4, under5, under6, keep the needle into subcutaneous tissue for30minutes. The control group were given common acupuncture treatment,We choose the acupoint of Shenshu(BL23), qihaishu(BL24), the corresponding segments of Jiaji, Ciliao(BL32), Zhibian(BL54), Huantiao(GB30), Yanglingquan(GB34), Weizhong(BL40), Xuanzhong(GB39) to the patients of this group, after the gas reinforcing-reducing needling run the needle once per10minutes, the treatment time was also30minutes. Acupuncture applied by gentle manual rotation of the acupuncture needle every10min for a total of30min.we evaluated the curative effect of treatment group and control group by respectibely assessing the change of pain beforet treatment,5min after treatment,10min after treatment,20min after treatment.Results:(1)comparing with control group, the sex, age, and disease course of treatment group had no significant difference (P>0.05);(2) the comparison of McGill pain questionnaire score of two groups itself between the beginning and the end were significantly difference (P<0.05), and the pain symptoms of the two groups cases were improved after treatment.(3)the McGill pain questionnaire score between control group and treatment group were significantly difference (P<0.05), and more pain relief in treatment group than the control group;(4) for5minutes when the score of VAS between two groups was no different (P>0.05);(5) compared the VAS score of the same time between two groups were all statistically significant (P<0.05), so the pain of treatment group were reduced better than the control group. Conclusions:Wrist-ankle acupuncture therapy has obvious immediate analgesic effect to lumbar disc herniation, and the curative effect is superior to the traditional acupuncture treatment.
