Observation On IL-6 And Clinical Effect Of Lumbar Intervertebral Disc Herniation (LIDH) By Electro-acupuncture

Objective:To observe the clinical effect and mechanism of electro-acupuncture to treat Lumbar Intervertebral Disc Herniation(LIDH)on changes of IL-6 and Sign and Symptom Quantization Methods.Method:In total of 68 patients of LIDH were selected,and then were divided into three groups.Treatment group of electro-acupuncture(n=24) was given electro-acupuncture, treatment group of acupuncture(n=24) was given traditional acupuncture only,while the control group(n=20) was treated by the medication (Celecoxib).Patients of the three groups were given the support conventional symptomatic treatment of LIDH.Both before and after the course of treatment, IL-6 and Sign and Symptom Quantization Methods were carried out. Comparing and analysis the results of the three groups after treatments.Results:After treatments, the three groups to observe the indicators compared with the pre-treatment with statistical significance (P<0.05).Among them,95.83%of the patients improved in the treatment group of electroacupuncture,83.33% of the patients improved in the treatment group of acupuncture,and 50% in the control group.And compared among the three groups,the treatment group of electro-acupuncture is the best.With the alleviation of the symptoms,the content of IL-6 decreases.Conclusion:Electro-acupuncture can inhibit the symptom of LIDH,and then speed up the restore function in patients and improve the high quality of life of patients.Electro-acupuncture is a effective method on treating LIDP.IL-6 decreases with the alleviation of the symptoms.
