The Clinical Study Of Acupuncture Combined With Wrist-ankle Acupuncture Treatment Of Acute L₅-S₁Disc Herniation

Purpose:By acupuncture combined with wrist-ankle acupuncture treatment of acute L5-S1disc herniation, clinical efficacy, and to provide an effective, simple treatment for acute exacerbation of lumbar disc herniation.Methods:Using a simple randomized method, the selected60patients divided into two groups.The treatment group acupuncture combined with wrist and ankle acupuncture, the control group was simple acupuncture treatment and two groups of treatment lasted10days. The JOA scores of two groups of patients before and after treatment, therapeutic evaluation and VAS pain scores, and statistical analysis.Results:(1)JOA score:the average scores of the treatment group increased from9.53to22.97, the average scores of the control group increased from9.13to20.67, the score difference before and after the treatment group than the control group (P<0.05).(2) The clinical efficacy of judgment:the treatment group and control group total there are efficiency, respectively, for96.7%and93.3%, no significant differences (P>0.05); clinical cure rates were63.3%and33.3%respectively, there were significant differences (P<0.05) in the treatment group than the control group.(3) VAS scores:the average scores of the treatment group decreased from6.247to0.770, the average scores of the control group reduced from6.220to0.607, the score difference of the treatment group than the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture combined with wrist-ankle acupuncture can effectively alleviate acute L5-S1disc herniation causing severe low back pain, relieve muscle spasms and increased activity in the lumbar spine. Its operation is simple, is an effective and simple treatment.
