Study On The Clinical Nurses’ Scientific Research Capacity And Related Influence Factors

ObjectiveThis research was designed to investigate the current situation of the research andresearch ability level of clinical nursing personnel in Dalian city teaching hospitals andanalyze the objective and subjective influence factors. The purpose was to providescientific basis and references for the development of standardized nursing research andtraining programs,and thus increasing the level of clinical nurses’ scientific researchcapacity, finally promoting the development of hospital nursing research work.MethodsThis study used the nursing staff questionnaire,nursing staff research capability ofself-rating scale, nurses job satisfaction questionnaire to investigate600clinical nurseswho worked from three A-level comprehensive teaching hospital in Dalian city.Sampleswere got by convenient. At last, the results of the questionnaire application SPSS17.0statistical software for statistical analysis. Then evaluation of their differences ofclinical nursing research capacity between groups of different age, work years, thelevel of education, job title, training and learning opportunities, research time and thedegree of support by one-way ANOVA and to explore the main factors of influencenurses’ research capability by multivariate linear regression analysis.Results1. The scores of nursing researching capacity of the objects ranged from20to120,the mean score of the nursing researching capacity of the nurses is35.75±27.18,and only5.71%nurses perceived a high raring level. The score of every ranged from thefirst to the last is the writing knowledge, researching knowledge, statistical knowledge,manipulative skills of statistical software.2. The impact of clinical nursing research capacity of the factors are: the age of thenursing staff, the time of using in research and the job satisfaction;And the work years of the nursing staff, job title, the level of education, training and learning opportunitiesdo not affect their research capability. Multiple linear regression analysis results showedthat the impact of scientific research capacity of the main factors smallest followed bythe time of using in research, the age of the nursing staff, job satisfaction.Conclusion1. Overall level of research capacity was at low levels and to a great individualdifferences.2. At the four research capability,the nursing skills of statistical software andstatistical knowledge is the weak link,needs to be strengthened.3. The impact of nursing research capacity of the main factors smallest followedby the time of using in research, the age of the nursing staff, job satisfaction.4. Clinical nursing personnel research ability need further improvement,sonursing managers should targeted training and guidance to provide a broader researchplatform for them, especially improving the time of using in research.5. The study provides an important theoretical basis for the development ofstandardized nursing staff training mode. of standardized nursing research and trainingprograms.
