Study On The Relationship Between Scientific Research Ability, Self-efficacy And Achievement Motivation Of Clinical Nurses In A 3 Grade Hospital

Objective:This study aims to understand 3 armour hospital clinical nurse scientific research ability,self-efficacy and achievement motivation of the status quo,analysis of the scientific research ability and the correlation between self-efficacy and achievement motivation,self-efficacy and achievement motivation affect the nurse scientific research ability,for the future hospital and related departments to improve clinical nurses provide reference for scientific research ability.Methods:A total of 414 clinical nurses in a class a hospital in xinjiang were investigated by means of stratified and proportional random sampling.This study includes 21 items of general data questionnaire,6dimensions of self-assessment scale of scientific research ability,1 dimension of general self-efficacy scale(GSES),and 2 dimensions of achievement motivation scale(AMS).EpiData3.0 software was used to establish the database,and SPSS19.0 software was used to analyze and process the data.Results:1.The total median score of clinical nurse’s scientific research ability is 54 points(31,70.25);The low level group accounted for 38.2%(158 people),the middle level group for 48.4%(202 people),and the high level group for 13%(54 people).From high to low,the scores of each dimension are scientific research practice ability,paper writing ability,literature review ability,scientific research design ability,data processing ability and problem discovery ability.2.The median score of clinical nurses’ self-efficacy was 23.00(20.00,27.25),which was at a high level.3.The median score of clinical nurses’ motivation to pursue success was 36.00(32.00,36.00),the median score of motivation to avoid failure was 38.00(33.00,43.00),and the median score of total score of achievement motivation was-3.00(-7.00,2.00).The motivation of clinical nurses to avoid failure was slightly higher than the motivation to pursue success.4.There were statistically significant differences in clinical nurses’ scientific research ability in terms of the highest academic degree,technical title,contract status,income status,frequency of reading nursing journals,participation in scientific research,application for scientific research projects,leadership and family support,research time and attitude(P < 0.05).5.Self-efficacy and motivation to pursue success were significantly positively correlated with the total score and each dimension of scientific research ability(P<0.01).6.Multiple regression showed that the general factors affecting the research ability of clinical nurses in grade 3 and grade a hospitals were as follows: highest educational background,frequency of reading nursing journals,leadership and family support,and research time;self-efficacy and motivation to pursue success were also influencing factors(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Clinical nurses’ scientific research ability is at medium or low level,and there are great differences among individuals,among which their scientific research practice ability is the highest and their data processing and problem finding ability is the lowest.2.Clinical nurses’ self-efficacy is at a high level,which is positively correlated with their scientific research ability.3.The motivation of clinical nurses to pursue success is slightly lower than that of avoiding failure,and there is a positive correlation between the motivation of pursuing success and scientific research ability.4.There are many influencing factors for clinical nurses’ scientific research ability,including the highest academic degree,frequency of journal reading,leadership and family support,research time,self-efficacy,and motivation to pursue success.5.The level of scientific research ability of clinical nurses needs to be improved,and managers should train and guide clinical nurses to improve their scientific research ability.
