Lean production is widely applied and popularized in many manufacturingenterprises, since it is one of the useful and advanced manufacturing managementmodes. If Lean production can be successfully introduced in an enterprise, it may makethe enterprise to realize the profit maximization. It realizes the core target by somemeans, such as reducing cost continuously, improving quality, improving productionflexibility, improvement and so on.DIC synthetic resins (Zhongshan) Co.,Ltd is a Japanese chemical company whichproducts cobalt compounds for tires. According to customer’s demands, it providescustomized products for tire manufacturers. And the demands of tires are increasingrapidly too. At the same time, types of the cobalt compounds are on the rise too. Andthe customers need manufactures to provide high quality products. The studying objectof this thesis is the chemical production management of DIC Zhongshan company. Onthe basics of analyzing the current production management, Lean production isintroducded to the enterprise. A new chemical production management is set up in DICZhongshan company, which has Lean production characteristics.With a view toeliminating waste in the best, improving production efficiency, improving rapidly thecapabilities to response and meeting customer’s demands, so as to increase thecompany’s profitability and competitiveness.The main results are as follows:1. This thesis introduces Lean Production development status, studying andapplication of Lean production in domestic and foreign, characteristics of LeanProduction, Lean Production theory framework, its implementation means and method.2. This thesis analyses the current problems of production management in DICZhongshan company. At present, level of automation in production line isn’t high,capacity of switching products fast is low, energy waste and so on. The productionmaintenance isn’t profcet, equipment utilization rate is not high, there are safetyproblems too.3. The thesis anlyses the problems of production management by the method of Lean poduction theory, Industrial Engineering (IE), research data analysis and chartanalysis, the production line and production maintenance have been improved by themeans of TPM and TQM, it provides some methods and programs.4. The thesis puts forward to Lean Production program for DIC Zhongshancompany, at the same time, it evaluates the effect of Lean Production.
