Manufacturing industry is a pillar industry and is one of the signs to measure the comprehensive strength and modernization degree of a country.With the development of economy and the intensification of market competition,manufacturing companies are facing more and more pressure from high efficiency,low cost,high quality and short product cycles than before.Due to the diversification of market demand,the traditional single variety and large-scale production have been replaced by small batches and multi-variety production which has caused an increase in management costs and production costs for manufacturing companies.In order to survive and develop in the fierce environment,it is necessary to continuously improve production efficiency,reduce costs and reduce the pressure of company’s development.Lean thinking originated from automobile manufacturing industry,emphasizes standardization and normalization of management process,mainly focus on eliminate waste and achieve lowest production cost and highest efficiency.In this paper,the production workshop of C Company is taken as the research object and the problems of low production efficiency in the production workshop of C Company are analyzed and summarized by using fishbone diagram from five aspects,in terms of human,machine,material,method and environment respectively.The research was based on lean production theory,industrial engineering theory and production efficiency theory,comprehensive use of eight waste methods,ECRS improvement method,production line balance method,single minutes exchange die(SMED)method to improve and optimize the existing low production efficiency of the workshop.Then use 5S management method to optimize the phenomenon of non-standard production field in the production workshop,to create a clean and standardized production environment and promote the smooth development of workshop work objectives so as to achieve the goal of improving efficiency.According to the study of this paper,it can be concluded that lean production and industrial engineering theory is feasible to improve the production of manufacturing enterprises,it can effectively reduce the waste in the production process,the unbalanced production line,low production efficiency,high production cost and field management chaos and other problems have a good improvement effect.At the same time,it can further enhance the key competitiveness of enterprises,so that enterprises can get more sustainable development.
