Application Study Of Lean Production In JGP Company

As an advanced production management method, Lean Production has been wildly used in recent years. Through discovering and eliminating the invalid ineffective work and waste, also continuously reducing the operational cost and improving the product quality, it can strengthen the enterprises' competitiveness. The stability of the enterprises can greatly protect the employees' interest and is good for the society's stable development.This thesis takes the JGP company as research object, it firstly describes the background and significance of the research, gives general summarization of the concept of lean production, the development as well as the research and implementation progress of it all over the world, also includes the characteristic and frequently used tools of lean production. The thesis analyzes the situation of JGP company in fierce market competition, and also the problems they met in practical with the methods of five key factors(human, machine, material, method, cycle) and “SWOT”; And then conducts a serial of lean production and management research based on the existing problems, involves the whole employees to understand the concept of lean production and management and implements the methods of lean production as well as frequently used IE methods, which improves the JGP's production procedure and works efficiency also reduces the human resource cost, creates a good working environment for employees. At the end of this thesis, it lists some of the JGP's improvement activities which the author joins. An enterprise by using the above theory and knowledge to realize the lean production innovation can continuously improve the product, strengthen the competition edge. Lean production not only has practical importance to company JGP and Jabil, but also a good reference and example to all the peer enterprises who want to promote lean production.
