The pressure control process of heavy water supply system of fueling machine of nuclear power plant is complex. While the mode of operation transforming, the pressure disturbances and couples on each other obviously, so it is very difficult to get good results of pressure flow process in response. Through the intensive study of operation processes and main function of the heavy-water pressure system, this paper probes the flow ability of public master pipe in detail, analyses the existing system, serial valve nonlinear characteristics, and such factors of the cavitation erosion of the valve. Making practical improving tests on the basis of theoretical discussions. This paper also adopts sub-control strategy, optimizing the parameters controlling, improving the flap valves and many other optimizations and improvements to make the system obtain better pressure on output characteristics. Because of these ways, the system has good stability. Finally, to further optimize the system control performance, based on using a self-optimizing fuzzy control strategy, designed the controller, and compiled the procedures of the system. Experiment results showed that the new control method had good function of studying ability and anti-jamming; The output pressure of the new fueling machine heavy water supply system followed fast, changed steadily, small fluctuations in pressure, and improved static and dynamic performance of the system significantly; It also benefits the overcoming of problems concerning with the conventional control system such as slow corresponding and large overshooting output.
