In the21st century, automation technology have been developing rapidly, and the application of it in the water industry has become more and more mature. In the water environment of poor development and the market economy under double pressures, not only requires the waterworks ascension water treatment of ability, and can keep for a long time for the best operation condition. This paper base on JinXi waterworks in the automatic control system for the research background, the thorough research of water works water treatment technology and process parameters, the analysis of water treatment process control objectives, and the use of advanced control theory and control technology to realize the automation of waterworks control system to achieve good goals of the water plant factory water water quality, production of high security and control real-time.Water treatment technology of alum adding control system, is the complex process system of the delay, the complex nonlinear multivariable. It is difficult to control, still using artificial experience with computer remote control dosing way. Because it is too deep to system dosing quantity of subjective factor, which reduces the stability of the alum adding control system. At the same time, use InTouch9.5powerful configuration function, the completion of the water center control system of the man-machine interface and alarm function design, achieve a long-distance scheduling of water works production operation, the production equipment and data acquisition and processing. The system is running until today, it is steady to system. It is improve the water plant operation safety of the automatic control system.In paper finally, the old system based on the serial port RS485of the total line of Modbus Plus control network, analysed some defects of old system and improve water control network. Based on industrial Ethernet network technology, realized new control network of the waterworks. Now the network have been operated. It is enhanced the automatic control of the system operation reliability and efficiency.
