The emergence of international students in the Modern Chinese Society opened China modernization process.Their newspaper activities also played an indelible role in the research of the Chinese Journalism history. They are influenced by the foreign advanced culture and the lagging reality of Chinese society. Under the contrast of two environments, international students urgently to change the situation of China. They participated in the news events activities, using newspaper as the platforms to show their public opinion, and contribute to the development of modern China. Some of them became famous journalists, and acted as the backbone of promoting the development of Chinese journalism.After the establishment of the Republic of China, Chinese journalists who studied in the U.S. has been a great group and influence. They had a rigorous selection before studying aboard, so they all had strong cultural basis. When they studied in the U.S., they studied the professional knowledge very hard. After they back to China, most of them had remarkable achievement. This article using the career choice as entry point,trying to demonstrate the contributions made by Chinese journalists who studied in the U.S. from the perspective of reporters teachers and politicians, mainly focus on the achievements and contributions of Chinese journalists who studied in the U.S. are much better than others. The thesis falls into six chapters to explore the important part of them:The first chapter combed from macroscopic perspective, analyzed with the Republic of China background and varieties of choices to study abroad, to explore its unique background of the age of people leaving the United States and study abroad opportunities. In interwinds of social movements and thoughts, educated in America had returned home news coming back to participated in journalism. Some of them majored in journalism, some of them major in other disciplines. What kind of career choice did the young students who had first contraction of journalism? How they use their expertise on the stage of the journalism of the Republic of China?The second chapter focuses on the U.S. news people’s career choices after their return China. In their career choice of various subjective and objective conditions as the analysis object, it can be seen that with the United States system of education news people return home, many career in journalism related, such as news reporters, journalists, educators, and officials.The third chapter focuses on the Chinese journalists’contributions, who studied in the U.S. of the news industry. At the beginning of the twentieth century, American journalism began to monopoly and mergers. By the influence of American journalism, they used their knowledge to help the government to solve the social problems and crisis.The forth chapter introduces the contributions of Chinese journalists who studied in the U.S. for the education of Journalism. With the longitudinal development of time, the us news people’s identity from "educatee" to "communicator", and then to the converted to scholars. They invited American Journalism scholars to give lectures in Chinese university. And they also promoted American School of Journalism help Chinese school of Journalism. They introduced the advanced concept of American journalism to China. During the provisional capital of times, these people even taught the students major in journalism.The fifth chapter discussed the efforts made by Chinese journalists who studied in the U.S. for the formulate of Republic of China’s information policies. Chinese journalists who studied in the U.S. advocate the freedom of the journalism, and yearn for freedom of speech, but the special historical environment made them had to introduce draconian censorship. Embarrassing status, the us news of people have to face the irreconcilable contradiction between the political and professional. Therefore, though they contribute in news policy, but not big degree.The sixth chapter as the end of the article, it compared the difference between the Chinese journalists who studied in the U.S. and the Chinese journalists who studied in the other countries, in order to highlighted the unique of the journalists who studied in the U.S. Because of the Chinese journalists who studied in the U.S. compared the Chinese journalists who studied in Japan、France and the Soviet Union, each of them faced different time、space、cultural environment and social tasks, so they have in studying mechanisms News theoretical source of news thought. Compared to the Chinese journalists who studied in the other countries, the Chinese journalists who studied in the U.S. had adequate funding, and more time to contact with the world’s most state-of-the-art news theory and practice, promoted the concept of freedom of the press, and consisted with the government of the Republic of China in the political direction.Conclusion broad is the summary of the whole article. With Social environment up and down changed and the prosperity and development of the newspaper industry in the Republic of China, the role of the Chinese journalists who studied in the U.S. had been sufficient play. They promoted the standardization process of the news industry; Educational journalism disciplines took roots in Chinese society, promoted the exchange of Chinese and United States media; they promoted the reform of the policy of journalism hardly, but it did not hinder the strive of the Chinese journalists who studied in the U.S..Dedication to journalism, looked forward to the news to promote social progress and putted into practice, is the most valuable point of the Chinese journalists who studied in the U.S.
