Revolution 1911 has successfully overthrown the regime of Qing Dynasty and lead to the founding of the Republic of China. It is the end of feudal autocratic regime, which has lasted for more than two thousand years. While at the same time, the journalism in China is booming. The professional ethics of journalism is related to the credibility of news media and the social image of journalists. Thus it has attracted the attention from the world and aroused extensive and in-depth discussion in the society. Under the particular historical background, the early Republic of China, news coverage has received great attention and the social status of journalists has improved a lot. The obligation of journalists is to give all-around and unbiased account for an event or issue through their efforts to pursue the truth, in order to enlighten the public. The excellent journalists in the early Republic of China have never yielded to any power or lure. Keeping the thought of"Saving China through Journalism"in mind, they acted against the dictatorship of Yuan Shih-kai, which fully represents their strong patriotism and professional ethics.
