Research On Network Information Behavior Of Knowledge Workers

With growing popularity of network and continuous development of information society, information has become the driving force of social development. Information technology, especially network technology, has been used in various areas of social life, which bring great changes to our life. As a result, people are becoming more and more inseparable from the network.People use network to obtain information to guide their own behavior and decision-making. With the advent of knowledge economy, knowledge and skill occupy more and more important position in the enterprise.So the performance of knowledge worker is the key to enterprise development.The core theme of dissertation is to build information behavior model and extract influencing factors based on study of knowledge worker and network information behavior.Then take institution staff for empirical analysis. So the dissertation first summarize the domestic and foreign scholars’ study on knowledge workers and network information behavior. Then it builds a network information behavior model and analyze factors which affect the behavior. Next,it designs questionnaire and delivers to institution staff to collect data and use SPSS18.0for analysis, in order to find the existing problems, and propose appropriate countermeasures.This dissertation is divided into seven parts.Each part is summarized as follows:Part I is an introduction,mainly about the background, purpose,significance, research ideas, methods, content,framework and innovation points.Part II is literature review. Mainly to sort out domestic and foreign scholars’ research on knowledge worker and network information behavior to provide theoretical basis for further study.Part III is relevant theory. It introduces related concept,theory and models in detail,to lay the foundation for further study.Part IV is the construction of network information behavior model. On the basis of literature review and related theory and through the influential factors extracted from ASCI project, it builds network information behavior model, and extracts specific index which affect knowledge worker network information behavior.Part V is empirical research. Through designed model and influential factors index,it designs questionnaire,delivers it to collect data.Then analyzes data, aiming at finding some problems of knowledge staff in network information behavior.Part VI is suggestions. On the basis of empirical research and problems discovered in previous chapter, it puts forward suggestions on optimizing network information behavior of knowledge workers.Part VII is conclusion and outlook of the research. It makes a conclusion of the whole research and analyzes limitations and future research directions.
