The real world is a3D (three-dimensional) world. The traditional2D images losing the depth of the shooting area could not express all the information of the3D world, so they cannot meet the requirements of the information acquisition for human any more. The3D images not only possess the information of the height and the width, but also have the information of the depth, which makes them as the best form expressing the real world.The3D stereoscopic display technology has been industrialized. The3DTV is also very common in the market, such as the polarization3DTV and the active shutter3DTV. However, the shortage of the binocular and multi-view stereoscopic sources which are available for the public makes it the main obstacle for the popularization of the3D technology. The key to obtain3D sources is to obtain the images and videos with the appropriate parallax. Because of the high efficiency, the convenient operation and other advantages, the stereoscopic shooting has become the first choice for human to acquire3D sources. The article starting with the principle of the stereo imaging, analyzes and discusses the problems involved in the stereoscopic shooting in detail. Research on the task mainly includes three aspects as follows.First, the parameters having influences on the stereoscopic shooting with the parallel and the toed-in camera configurations are discussed in the article. For the toed-in camera configuration including two cameras, the method that the displayed3D scene with the appropriate stereo depth and the expected effect in front of and behind the display screen obtained by setting the proper distance between the cameras and the location of the convergent point is demonstrated. In addition, the shooting system with multiple cameras for acquiring equal parallaxes between the adjacent captured images for the auto-stereoscopic display system is also discussed, which can provide the viewers the better immersion and visual comfort. The theoretical results can be used as a reference for the design of the stereoscopic shooting systems and the implement of the shooting in the future.Second, a kind of multi-view scanning shooting system having both the parallel and toed-in configurations is designed in the article. The process of the hardware design is analyzed in detail. Firstly, the mechanical structure design of the system, including the platform and the mechanical gear, is introduced detailed. And then the circuit of the system is discussed, especially in the parts of the drive, the display, the control of the speed, the angle as well as the shutter. Some parts of the circuit diagram are also given in the article.Third, the process of the software design of the multi-view scanning shooting system is analyzed. The program of single-chip microcomputer is introduced at the beginning. In this part the programming language and environment are briefly described, and the detailed analysis of the program is then demonstrated, which contains the main program, key scanning, external interrupt, digital conversion and display, and the timer interrupt. Next the multi-view images processing software is introduced, including the function of the import, export and preservation of the parameters, the import, preview and roaming of the parallax images, the zooming and alignment of the parallax images, the generation and output of the synthesized image. Some of the key source procedure is given in the article too.
