Stereo vision technology is an important part of virtual reality technology, itdeveloped rapidly in recent years. Particularly, the stereoscopic vision technology basedon binocular parallax has gradually matured. Teaching the concept in three-dimensionalspace, teachers often use two-dimensional graphics to explain the concept ofthree-dimensional space, is difficult to understand for the students, and stereo visiontechnology can be used as the space solution to the problem. Combination of stereovision technology and multimedia technology, to promote the teaching much better, is anew topic to the educational technology researchers. This paper use literature analysisand computer technology to study the principles of stereoscopic vision and itsimplementation, and put the binocular parallax of stereo vision technology into thecourses which require a higher space capabilities.In this paper, we get that stereo vision technology is helpful to improve spatialabilities from perceptual learning and the theory of spatial ability, through the theory ofstereo vision and technology research, we recommend to use stereoscopic visiontechnology of binocular parallax as a secondary teaching method. By using a staticstereo view, interactive stereo maps, students can conduct stereo interaction easily. As ageneral solution, we can use digital equipment to make3D photos and videos, Quest3D,AutoCAD and other graphics software are also a good way to create stereo graphics,and then interactive in the stereo teaching platform. It is a very effective solution toteachers or students. Finally, the following conclusions are get from the teachingexperiment: students can understand the graphics better after adding disparity cues,teachers can use a variety of stereo vision technologies in teaching, so that students can choose appropriate methods according to their specific needs. The innovation of thispaper are the following three points:(1)Applied the stereo vision techniques to thetechnology courses in education.(2)Proposed a set of practical design ideas for stereointeractive and non interactive teaching resources.(3)Proposed four3d learningplatform solutions for technology courses and classrooms.This study has some innovative, it advanced the stereo vision technology ineducation applications, enrich the teaching mode, and the students can improve spatialability, but also provide a reference value for follow-up studies.
