Human beings get most information through vision and display plays an important role in offering vision information. Modern advanced display system can be traced back to 1896, in which year CRT was invented.Tracing back to 1896, CRT was invented. The display achievements profit from the technology revolution, including from black & white TV to color TV, from analog world to digital world, from small screen size to huge, from box TV to flat TV and so on, coming from the development of the modern electronics and the materials of optics, has been applied in the display system. In the last 110 years, display technology has got a huge development,As pixels promoted and the sense of being personally on the scene enhanced, the function of the entertainment coming from the display system is becoming perfect(more scientific and more tasted ). In the 2007 exhibition of consume electronic at Las Vegas, there show a lot of miraculous TV technology. In this show, the max size of TV has reached 108 inch, the highest pixels of TV has been up to 2560 multiple 1440 and the minimum thickness of the display plat has decreased to less than 1 inch.Up to now, 3D image, which makes the image more vivid, has become an important field of display techniques. Stereoscopic display implementation comes from the deep analysis and understanding about visual sense of human being, and also depends on the progress of noval image process technologies.A new stereoscopic display scheme based on monolithic DMD is proposed, and its implementation has been achieved. Some main works and innovative achievements in this dissertation include:1. Designed the DLP projection system based on the DSP and the study of physical characteristics of optical devices;2. Proposed and implemented a naked-stereoscopic display system, which is based on binocular disparity and monolithic DMD;3. Brought forward a way of frame separating to design a facility according to favoring parallax image fusion in the system for controlling the light path of the parallax. This system can realize 2D and 3D display as well as the adjustment of depth of field for 3D picture.4. Introduced a special architecture (reflecting driver circuit). It avoids the loss of light power and the demotion of display pixels. Compared to the regular design of driver, our design gets a higher efficiency.5. Studied the theory and the transform arithmetic for 3D image realized in DLP system.By field test, the demo Auto-stereoscopic Display system based on single DMD can primarily get work. And some significace analysis of system defects and discusses the coming research are shown in the end of this dissertation.
