With the advantages of high performance and low cost, TD-LTE is developing with an extremely rapid speed, which turns to the whole TD-LTE industry. As one of the most important components of TD-LTE industry, Terminal Testing Instruments play a key role on development and research, authentication and maintenance for TD-LTE terminals.Based on the practical development of TD-LTE Terminal Testing Instruments, this thesis designs and implements measurement items to test power control performance of TD-LTE terminals according to terminal Radio Frequency conformance test protocol.Main contributions of this thesis is outlined as follows:1. Chapter1introduces the basic background of TD-LTE development and the motivation for this thesis. And the layout of the thesis is described in the end of this chapter.2. Chapter2explains concept and paradigm of TD-LTE terminal Radio Frequency conformance test, and lists the measurement items of the project. In detail, it describes software and hardware architecture of the TD-LTE Terminal Testing Instruments.3. In Chapter3, theory of power control technology in TD-LTE has been analyzed in detail, including PUSCH, PUCCH, PRACH, SRS, and Downlink.4. Designing and implementing processes of each measurement item are described in the coming chapter, which contain requirement analysis, design of interface and algorithm, etc. The mentioned measurement items are Minimum Output Power, ON/OFF Time Mask, Absolute Power Tolerance, Relative Power Tolerance, and Aggregate Power Control Tolerance.5. The last chapter draws a conclusion of the project and throws future work.The measurement items designed in this thesis can support some parameters to be configured flexibly, such as the types of channel, the number of allocated resource block, the power state of terminals and high-layer parameters, etc. They can test power control performance of TD-LTE terminals in user-selected test environments, which makes the measurement functions expanded greatly.The achievement of this project has been applied in the commercial TD-LTE Terminal Testing Instrument.
