Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) is a non-contact automatic identification technology. The RFID equipment transmit an RF signal to identify target object automaticly and obtain the relevant data by space coupling in all kinds of severe environment.Now a days, this technology is widely used in the industrial automation, commerce automation, transportation control management and many other areas, especially in the internet of things area. So research and development RFID technology has the huge economic efficiency and social significance. And the testing technology of RFID equipment is an indispensible part of RFID technology.Conformance testing means that equipment is tested to verify whether its performance or feature conforms to relevant technical standards and to see whether different equipment to be tested meet unified requirements so that those equipment take the same actions under the same exterior circumstances and give out the same results. The goal of mobile communication terminal conformance testing is to fully guarantee performance comformability and corrent inter-connection of the terminals of different manufacturers in the network, maintain legal rights of customers and ensure good operation of the network. Mobile communication terminal conformance testing involves many factors, such as RF, Protocal, Acoustic, USIM, Application, network inter-operability and so on, of which RF comfornace is the most fundamental and important factor. This thesis is going to do the research on the RF conformance testing system of the RFID system core equipment------interrogator. From the standpoint of radio spectrum management, only the active transmitter can threat the complex electromagnetic environment. However in the RFID communication system, only the interrogator transmit RF signal initiatively, the tag just receive signal from interrogator and reflect it and its power is very small, can’t cause electromagnetic environment pollution. In the point of view of the radio spectrum management which the author engaged in, starting from an introduction of800/900MHz frequency band RFID communication system, this thesis briefly introduces the basic concept of conformance testing and automatic testing system. And the thesis also explains in details the items, requirements, methods, and significance of800/900MHz frequency band RFID equipment RF conformance testing. In terms of the tesing contents, the thesis not only brings forward several problems in800/900MHz frequency band RFID RF testing but also provides relevant solutions to these problems. Moreover, considering the current situation of RFID industry and the requirements of testing, this thesis successfully puts forward the improved design proposal of RF conformance automatic testing system in hardware and software. Finally, the thesis conducts a brief analysis of measurement uncertainty of800/900MHz frequency band RFID equipment RF conformance testing.
