The Research And Implementation Of Inter-Frequency Measurement In TD-LTE UE RRM Conformance Test

Inter-frequency measurement is one of the important features supported by UE in TD-LTE system. It is important to realize the function in RRM Conformance Test System to test UE’s ability of inter-frequency measurement action. This thesis is to present the process of adding inter-frequency measurement test case into RRM Conformance Test System to realize function to test UE’s ability of inter-frequency measurement based on the requirements of relevant TD-LTE communication protocols.Chapter1briefly introduces the background of this thesis.Chapter2introduces in detail RRM Conformance Test System, its software and hardware platform and TTCN-3language, which are used by this thesis.Chapter3illustrates the analysis and design process of inter-frequency measurement test case in RRM Conformance Test System. Make clear of UE’s actions when measuring inter-frequency cells in connected state according to the requirements of protocols. Design test procedures of inter-frequency measurement test case in RRM Conformance Test System according to inter-frequency measurement actions of UE. Analysis and calculate key parameters used in test case and UE’s measurement report delay during the measurement process.Chapter4explains the implementation of key parameters’configuration and major test procedures in RRM Conformance Test System on the basis of chapter3’s analysis. After test case is completed in the RRM Conformance Test System, the system is used to test UE’s ability of inter-frequency measurement on the platform of RRM Conformance Test System to validate implementation result of inter-frequency measurement test case.Chapter5summaries the thesis and outlooks the future development. The achievement of this thesis has been put into practice in TD-LTE UE RRM Conformance Test System and it provides a solution for certification and development of TD-LTE terminals.
