In the trend of "mobile communication will be broadband" and "broadband access will be mobile", the market has reached an unprecedented situation of desiring4G technology. TD-LTE as the TDD version of LTE technology naturally gets more and more attention by people, the demand of current market for R&D and testing of TD-LTE equipment are so strong. The field of TD-LTE transmitter RF test is still in its infancy, and the traditional manual testing methods brought many problems, such as low efficiency of testing, poor accuracy of test result. The development and design of a set of TD-LTE transmitter RF automated test system is particularly necessary. The system has widespread applications, each TD-LTE equipment manufacturers, operators, certification bodies, research institutions can make use of this system to complete the RF test of TD-LTE base station equipment, this system makes the RF test of TD-LTE equipment simple, fast, and accurate.This paper first introduces the development status of the TD-LTE to identify significance of topics, and key technology involved in the automatic test system is introduced one by one, which is to provide theoretical support for the automatic test system structures. In accordance with the relevant standard, I summarize TD-LTE RF test items and test method, testing process to analysis automated testing requirements, and then build a software framework and develop the software testing process according to the analysis results. The system software based.NET2.0environment, using the C#to write. According to C#language features and system application requirements, the system software uses modular design idea. According to the characteristics of the amount of data of the automatic test system, I use XML to storage data for simple and convenient. In terms of hardware, I development the RF switch box, the paper describes link of the RF switch box and external interface design. System take full account of the subsequent expansion issues, software and hardware reserve the interface to facilitate the expansion of development.TD-LTE transmitter RF automatic test system is developed based on the cooperation project between the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and the national radio frequency spectrum detection center. After repeated tests and the validation of the uncertainty the results, we can make sure that the test results of the automatic test system is stable, accurate and can completely replace the engineer to complete the test task. The system greatly improves the speed, efficiency and accuracy of TD-LTE base station RF testing. The system has the qualification of testing on TD-LTE equipment for certification body.
