Automatic Test System(ATS) which integrates measurement technology, electronics, automation and computer technology as a whole has been applied in the filed of measurement and metrology widely. The problems on how to assess its measurement accuracy, express its measurement results reasonably, and ensure the measurement quality of ATS further gain more and more attention, and the modern measurement uncertainty theory have gradually been recognized by domestic and foreign researchers as one of the main solutions. The measurement uncertainty evaluation method of ATS based on the measurement chain is the common method.In the regard of uncertainty evaluation method based on the measurement chain in the ATS, the foreign and domestic scholars have conducted a lot of research at present, and there are some research results on evaluating the measurement uncertainty of each transfer unit which includes the static measurement and the dynamic measurement and gaining the final combined uncertainty of the static measurement chain, but there also have some problems which are to be improved further. At the same time, there has a lack of in-depth study on the combined uncertainty of the dynamic measurement chain especially.The thesis introduces various methods of the measurement uncertainty evaluation in the modern measurement uncertainty theory and explains the common evaluation methods applied in the ATS by contrast firstly; Secondly, the thesis introduce the theory of uncertainty evaluation method of ATS based on the measurement chain combining the composing mechanism of a general ATS; Thirdly, In the regard of the measurement uncertainty evaluation of each transfer unit, Bayesian information fusion method and Bayesian forecasting method are employed after analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the method of Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement and Monte Carlo method. And then at the same time, some attentions are paid on the combined uncertainty evaluation of ATS measurement chains and the emphasis is fixed on the combination of the dynamic measurement chain, and the improved Monte Carlo method is proposed correspondingly. Fourthly, as to the small sample measurement in the ATS which is a special aspect, a novel grey evaluation model of measurement uncertainty is established on the basis of the typical grey evaluation model of measurement uncertainty, and the idea of Bayesian information fusion is also added to get the evaluation results. In the last, all these methods above are applied in one of the measurement chains of a certain military ATS, and the efficiencies and practicability of these methods are verified.
