With the rapid development of the Chinese economy and the increasingly number of car ownership, the current vehicle management system is unable to provide vehicles running data to management quickly and easily. In particular, the army has a large number of vehicles, so it is especially important for the management of the vehicle. The vehicle management has always been a daunting task but also an important part for the day-to-day management of troops. Troops have been using traditional manual vehicle management and this management way has many shortcomings such as Low efficiency, poor security, and spend a lot of manpower and resources, easy to miss which greatly obstructs the process of modernization of the troops. This thesis is based on analysis of the military vehicle management issues, and RFID (Radio Frequency Identification, referred to as RFID) technology is applied to the military vehicle management. We develops a RFID-based vehicle management system, which made the management of vehicle tends to be more scientific and modern for the army.In this paper, on the basis of the demand for research, we analyzes the functional requirements of the system and the main function is divided into nine parts:access management function, vehicle management function, vehicle applications function, out of the car management function, personnel management function, temporary personnel vehicles management function, authority management function, parameter setting function and intelligent reporting function. According to the different functions, we separate the management of vehicles and personnel management. Vehicle management was divided into registered vehicle and temporary staff’s vehicles while personnel management was divided into the military personnel management and temporary staff management. Each function module was made detailed requirements analysis and was described combined with the UML use case diagram. We selected technical framework of the system in system technology and designed architecture of the system’s overall function. We detailed designed the main function by using class diagrams, sequence diagrams. We show the system’s functional interface screenshots and describe the realization of our troops’vehicle management system based on RFID combined the way of code demonstrates. This paper describes the process development of the troops based RFID vehicle management system. First, we understood the system’s development background and introduced the research status, then outlined the system’s overall business needs and analyzed the specific functional requirements. After these things, we used JAVA programming language, Struts1+Hibernate+Spring technology architecture combined with RFID technology for coding design and used SQL Server to design database. Finally we proposed an effective solution of vehicle management system based RFID for troops.Vehicle management system of troops could save a lot of manpower and resources and improve their management level.
