In recent years, as the development of China’s manufacturing industry, steel demands is rapidly increasing year by year, as a result that series of problems appears because the open storage of steel, such as a big area, rust, not convenient to access,etc.With high density storage and access convenient and can be a very good guarantee access advantages suck as the quality of the goods, the automated warehouse can perfectly solute these problems.Firstly,this paper use an enterprise’s actual demand to discuss the pallet size,overall layout,process flow and key equipment of the steel automated warehouse in details, verify the feasibility of the steel automated warehouse.Then based on the basis of test,use the Automod software to realize the modular modeling based on the equipment of the steel automated warehouse. Set the parameters,processes of the automated warehouse according to the design scheme,verify the feasibility of the scheme through the model running.At last,summarized the modular modeling methods based on the equipment,and make sure the significance to the simulation process,and module partition of basis and method and so on, which more,through the analysis of the modeling analysis of library made possible equipment module,in the later follow-up study, these modules can be directly used,which can greatly improve the speed of modeling the similar warehouse.
