WEB parts system is an import means of accomplishing CAD technology, and it is also animportant basement to realize networked manufacturing. By applying WEB parts system, andmaking full use of the advantages of web in transporting information, the parts resource ofparts providers and enterprise could be integrated and managed from a reuse perspective, theobtaining and reutilization of reusable parts resource quickly could be realized. Furthermore,a channel for sharing and exchanging parts resources quickly was provided to enterprises, andthe market competitiveness of enterprises could be improved by shorting product’sdevelopment cycle, reducing product’s development cost. In this thesis, by studying andusing technologies such as ASP.NET, second development of3D CAD software, database,WEB3D, WEB2.0and so on, a web-based3D parts resource integration library system onheterogeneous CAD platforms was designed and realized. The main research contents arepresented as follows:Firstly, the requirement of WEB parts library system was analyzed, and the wholeframework of system under B/S architecture was constructed. Then, the function moduleswere divided overall, and the relationships between function modules and users or functionmodules were explained with UML use case diagram in detail.Secondly, the pop WEB3D technologies were compared to determine the implementationscheme of realizing the function of viewing3D models online. And then, the progress ofdeveloping visualization plug-in, which based on OSG platform and VRML within ATLtechnology in Visual C++, was studied. Based on this, a web-based visualization plug-in wasdeveloped and realized. At last, the way to view3D model online without refreshing the pagebased on AJAX technology was elaborated.Thirdly, the method of parametric design for part resource was introduced, after that theprinciple and process of realizing the function of parametric driving for3D model based onmultiply CAD software online was explained. Then, the interfaces for second development ofdifferent3D CAD software were packaged uniformly by analyzing the characters of different 3D CAD software’s secondary development interfaces, and a scheduling mechanism wasworked out to call them uniformly. Based on this, the function of parametric driving for3Dmodel based on multiply CAD software online was realized.Fourthly, the data organization model for data, description of data and the procedure ofrealizing data accessing interface in web parts resource integrated library system was studied.Then, the progress of building up3D parts resource data under B/S framework wasintroduced, and a tool for building library tool with multiply modes was developed.Lastly, the development tool, hardware, software environment for system and thepermission assignment progress was explained in detail. And then, the system prototype andan application example of web-based3D parts resource integration library system onheterogeneous CAD platforms was provided.
