At present, Software Agent is a rising software technology of wide prospect. It can solve the problems that exist in the traditional software industry in a kind of natural, high-efficient way. The major advantage of this technology lies in making resources of the data under distributed control, describing the system that Agent makes up naturally, which relevant personnel benefit from in understanding software system, helping to integrate existing software.An intelligent management platform is built by means of software Agent technology in order to operate well-log information from heterogeneous data resources in uniform statements. The application and processing Agents of well-log information on heterogeneous operating systems (Unix and Windows) are dynamically integrated into the platform. A ring-based architectural model of Middle Agents, which is based on ring-based organizational structure and token-based coordination mechanism, is proposed for promoting the robustness and scalability of the system. The heterogeneous data resources and heterogeneous operating systems are effectively integrated by using the ring-based architectural model for Middle Agents. A framework suitable for distributed complex systems is designed.This article firstly introduces the Software Agent and the main task of this subject. In the second chapter, analysis and design of the system with Gaia are described. The framework and the structure of every Agent of the system are introduced respectively in the third and fourth chapter. The main content of the fifth chapter is how to realize the system on computer through transplanting technology and the Socket, which is the essential communication technology in every Agent. The communication language used by the system is referred in the sixth chapter, namely KQML. At last, summary of the study work followed by future study emphasis.
