Temperature monitoring is often used in modern industry, agriculture, andeven in everyday life, but the traditional method has been unable to meet theneeds of people. The embedded technology is developing very fast in recentyears. It is widely used in mobile phones, industrial control, military industry,car navigation, digital TV and other fields. In addition, ZigBee technology as anew two-way wireless communication technology is widely used in the fields ofindustrial, medical, smart home,because it has many characteristics, such aslow-power, low-complexity, and low-cost.After analyzing the status of wireless temperature monitoring in greenhouseat home and abroad, this paper designed a wireless temperature monitoringsystem base on GPRS, ZigBee and embedded technology. ZigBee nodesestablished a wireless network by Z-Stack protocol. The ZigBee coordinatorcollects and sends temperature data to ARM9. The ARM9development boardhas been transplanted the Linux operating system and designed a user interface.After analyzing the temperature data sent by the ZigBee coordinator, ARM9would control the GPRS send a short message to the owner if the warning valueis exceeded. Finally,the system was proved successfully by experiment.In this thesis, the main work is as follows:(1)Design the whole system. ARM and ZigBee technology are very popularin recent years. This paper designed a wireless, real-time, low-cost temperaturemonitoring system according to the rural situation of greenhouse in China.(2) Transplanted the Linux operating system on ARM9development board.Including transplanted Uboot, Linux kernel, root file system, and designed aninterface to display the temperature data. After analyzing the data,the maincontroller ARM9would send a warning message to the owner.(3) ZigBee nodes established a wireless network and combined with GPRSto form a remote wireless temperature acquisition and monitoring system.(4)Combined the main controller ARM9and ZigBee nodes and GPRSmodule together and do the test. The system can achieve the expectation.
