With the development of the Internet of things recently, smart home hasbecome the trends of home in future. It connects all the parts through thecommunication technology, network and sensor technology, and gives uscomfortable and convenient living environment by centralized management.In this paper, we introduce a smart home system based on ZigBee andWEB server, which complete all wireless design goals on embeddeddevelopment platform.First, we construct the platform of the software and hardware of thissystem: we use S3C2440as the control chip, which communicate Zigbee telegonthrough the serial port to complete the data exchange. The software structureneeds transplant the real-time operating system Linux to the main control module.Linux is simple in structure and easy to cut. We should c omplete Bootloader, thekernel transplantation and the production of the root file system to provide thebasis to the development of the upper layer application. Second, we analyze thestructure characteristic and safety reliability of the Zigbee network, compare Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on anti-interference performance, and analyze the ability ofindependent addressing route of the Zigbee. Then we put forward the design ofthe application of the Zigbee module based on Z-stack protocol stack and realizethe set up of the network between the internal of home. We also transplant theweb server on the software platform, which choose the embedded server BOAwhich is single-task. Finally, we design the interface of login and managementand put forward the corresponding CGI interface to realize the communicationbetween home and the Ethernet. So we can control and monitor the terminals athome through the remote login.In this paper, the system adopts32-bit ARM processor, no longer use theexisting computer system, so we reduce the power consumption, lower cost and strengthen the mobile convenience. On the other hand, we transplant theembedded operating system Linux, which improve the performance of the systemand is easy to upgrade in future. The embedded Web server a llows the users login the server at any terminal to check the state of the indoor electrical equipment.
