With the rapid development of the economy and increasing improvement of living standards as well as science and technology, people’s requirements of home living in safety, convenience, comfort and efficiency are increasingly high. The development of the industry in smart home subject to certain constraints as to the non-uniform standards and uneven technical level. To solve these problems, A smart home system based on Zigbee and ARM is designed in the paper,to make intelligent home systems more intelligent and humane.. The main work in this paper is as follows:1、Zig Bee wireless sensor network.. In this paper, we choose the Zig Bee technology as the network technology of home wireless local area network.. At the same time, A detailed analysis of Zig Bee protocol is made and the network topology structure and the address allocation mechanism are studied. Research on Z-Stack protocol stack development process are studied, too.2、Design of intelligent home system. This paper put forward the overall structure of intelligent Home system by studying the development status of intelligent home system at home and abroad and the related technology related. namely, the structure mainly consist the embedded gateway, home wireless local area network, data acquisition and control terminal three parts. The data acquisition and control terminal mainly includes household equipment control, housing security system, home furnishing information management section.3、Design of intelligent home system. This paper designs the hardware and software of the embedded gateway of intelligent home furnishing system, home wireless local area network, data acquisition and control terminal three parts, respectively.The hardware part: embedded gateway and wireless node hardware uses OMAP-3530 chip and the CC2530 chip of TI company, respectively. CC2530 is a system solution on chip for 2.4GHz IEEE 802.15.4 standards and Zig Bee applications. The system of this chip contains the 8051 CPU kernel and 2.4GHz wireless transceiver.The software part: it mainly use of the Z-Stack 2007 protocol stack and Windows CE real-time operating system. This paper uses CC2530 to design the Zig Bee wireless node and there are sensors and controllers at these nodes; embedded gateway based on Windows CE system are used for monitoring and information-processing of household appliances. Wireless nodes transport information and control commands collected based on the basis of Z-Stack.The residential smart home system and network performance test results show that: The design can completely real-time monitor data acquisition and control terminal node, to make Automatic and intelligent user community life.
