In recent years, along with the social informatization, family intelligent and industrial automation etc for wireless data transmission and the increasing demand, the ZigBee agreement based on the wireless network IEEE 802.15.4 standard as a new standard of wireless sensor network technology came into being, and showed the rapid development of the good momentum, widely applied to the wireless connection. Because ZigBee technology has characteristics such as low power consumption, low latency and so on, it plays an extremely important role in low rate of wireless sensor network.First, this article introduces the IEEE802.15.4 wireless communication standard, the constitution and communication method of network. It analyzes all the primitive services of PHY-Layer (Physical layer) and MAC-Layer (Media Access Control layer) of IEEE802.15.4 standards in detail, and generalizes the types and strucures of the frames that are transferred between the two layers. Second, functions of wireless sensor nodes to be designed and analyzed from the aspects of low power consumption and low cost.Fanally, according the ZigBee protocol standards and Z-Stack protocol stack 2006, the hardware circuits design and platform construction which based on the chip CC2431 are completed. At last.The experiments and test oft he system are given out. The result of testing shows that the system works stablely, The whole system meets the designing requirements in terms of function and effectiveness and can be well applied in practicalengineering projects.
