As a new low power network technology, Zigbee technology is reputed to be the most likely communication technology which could change the life style of humanity in the future, so it has the important practical significance. How to minimize the information during the process of network formation and maintenance, cover larger area, and ensure a high real time ability and reliability of the network has become the problem which should be solved urgently in Zigbee network application.Although the data communication complexity of the network has been greatly simplified in Zigbee technology, there are still some relatively complex steps during the traditional network formation and maintenance, such as the regular cluster election process for the energy balance, and route maintenance process. At the same time, the traditional Zigbee network nodes can be divided into full function device and reduced function device in accordance with different functions, within each personal area network (PAN), reduced function device cannot communicate with each other, but only through the coordinator with single-hop connection, the network is not only unable to realize bidirectional interaction, but also unable to interact with other kind of network. This has led to the substantially reduce in the practical range of Zigbee network, so there is still few network application system to become formed or shaped.Due to the problem of traditional Zigbee network, that the nodes could not communicate with each other and could not deal with the Internet, this paper proposes one kind of networt architecture with GPRS and Zigbee, it is greatly improved in the aspect of the center node design of the network, the overall network construction and maintenance, network node bidirectional interaction, the routing algorithm and interaction with other network. The paper makes research and analysis on the services and functions provided by different level of Zigbee stack, on the basis of the research, the self-adaptive hierarchical network routing algorithms is proposed, further more, the paper discusses Zigbee network construction method and maintenance process in detail. In addition, the central node design has introduced GRPS module, making the Zigbee network and the public network to be communicated with each other, thereby realizing the remote control and display of Zigbee network. The CC2530nodes make up the acquisition terminal of wireless sensor network, through the GPRS module integrated in the Sink node, the data aggregation, uploading and remote interaction of Zigbee network are achieved. Through the test and analysis on the aspects of the topology formation, the original data reading, the network maintenance, update of nodes effective time and so on of the Zigbee network, as well as the performance testing on the overall network, the design is proved to achieve the requirement of Zigbee network application, with high real-time ability and reliability, and to achieve the remote data display and interaction of Zigbee network by the good combination of GSM network.
