SyncML is an open industry standard protocol released by SyncML initiative forthe implementation of mobile database synchronization.Nowadays more and moreproducts and services based on SyncML appear in the market,thus more higherrequirement are asked for mobile data synchronize operation. Research of mobile datasynchronization based on SyncML is becoming the highlight in the field ofmobile-computing and mobile-database.But some problems still exist in the study of mobile-data-synchronization.Firstly, the inefficient management ability occurs when massive data synchronizes.Original mobile-data service suppliers (including SyncML initiative) consider onlysmall-data situation. But nowadays mobile devices’ storage has increased a lot andthus the inefficient management ability occurs. How to improve the efficiency ofmassive data synchronization become a new problem in the field of mobile datasynchronization. Some researchers have done some available study but at the sametime left some problems and disadvantages. These are lack of consideration about datatransmission and wireless network condition.Secondly, real-time and conflicts control in transaction-level synchronization.The typical way of transaction-level synchronization is two-level copy way.Multi-Transactions occur in the synchronization process due to the multi-mobiledevices and their frequent disconnection. At present there is no effective model tosolve these problems.This thesis lucubrates some problems in present data synchronization which arebased on SyncML and made some improvements. Our main research work containsthe following:(1) Study SyncML protocol deeply which includes three parts: representationprotocol, synchronization protocol, transmission protocol.(2) This thesis brings foward an improved message segmentation andtransmission policy based on SyncML to solve problem of inefficient managementability when massive data synchronizes.(3) This thesis researches mobile data’s synchronization upon transaction-levelmethod deeply and prensents an transaction-priority synchronization model which isbased on Tentative-Transaction-Queue(TTQ). (4) Analyze the key technologys in improved message segmentation policy andMulti-Tentative Transaction-Queue model.Besides,we applies the improved policy inMulti-Tentative Transaction-Queue mode.
