With the development of Chinese economy,the smooth implementation of the West-East natural gas transmission project and liquefied petroleum gas production continued growth in the rapid development of urban household fuel. there are many disadvantages in the traditional meter reading, such as not satisfied with the Gas corporate co-production scheduling, pipeline network management, information technology requirements of business charges. outdoor automatic meter reading is a new way forward.IC card prepayment system solved the reading difficult problem in Private Housing, and also in favor to the charge management,but it can not dynamically reading the state of gas meters and the custom’s gas consumption. wired meter system can real-time reading,but it has many disadvantage of the high cost of wire,wiring difficulties,and usually a trouble node can cause the local system problems,and also difficult to judge.The wireless meter reading technology can real-time reading, it does’t need wiring. In this project, we use an wireless prepaid meter reading system,it can reduce the wiring costs and wiring difficulties,it can real-time reading,and it can solve the gas company charges management problem. In this system we use the sle4442logical encryption card as prepaid transmission medium and wireless transceiver carrier listener automatically wake up and address recognition technology to reduce power consumption, through theoretical analysis and experimental, the system standby power consumption is less than20uA, external alkaline battery life of more than1year, using9600baud rate, transmit power of10m W, the effective video a distance of150meters; transmit power50mW, the effective distance up to300.meters.The practice shows that the system can effectively solve many problems of decision-home meter reading, as well as wiring difficulties of old household transformation and Collecting meter can improve the timeliness, accuracy and efficiency to facilitate the use of the gas company to the user’s the gas monitor, and an important regional gas load meter reading system.
