RISC architecture based processor is a kind of general high performanceprocessors. Considering its simplicity of architecture and high efficiency of computing,it is widely used in many fields such as high capability of computing, embeddedsolutions and multimedia applications. The CPU IP core design based on HDL caneasily cut depending on the application. It is easy to debug and integrate. Theseadvantages make the processor IP core design and application development fast.This paper discussed the instruction set architecture and the data path of themicroprocessor, implemented the functions division and micro-architecture design, andfinished the system functional simulation of the IP Core. Finally, I download the IP coreinto the FPGA, put the compiled application program into the appropriate memory andtake hardware verification for the IP core. The validation results meet the functionalrequirements of the processor design.This32-bits processor system is of five-level pipeline architecture and71instructions. The design solves the data-related problems, structure-related problemsand metastasis-related problems, implements a kind of maskable interrupt system. Thesystem is simple and easy to expand. It is very suitable for FPGA IP core, which used inthe form of chips as a microcontroller or MCU embedded devices. Both the pipelineprocessor design method and the processor IP core designed in this paper are goodreference for the future design works.
